About Me
I am an experienced, creative, and innovative elementary school educator, passionate about helping students learn in their own unique way, as they achieve success at their own pace. I believe that my role as a teacher includes helping facilitate students’ ability to discover which learning styles work best for them, then guide instruction applying this knowledge. I feel that teachers should continually challenge themselves, and have the courage to be critical when reflecting upon their practice. When creating programs, I employ ground up design-based thinking, and develop resources intentionally chosen to enrich curriculum and learning. I thrive in leadership positions, and enjoy collaborating with a variety of personalities to promote student success. I continually seek novel ways to improve my practice through formative assessment, addressing diverse and evolving educational needs, and life-long learning. I have strong classroom management skills, and am able to quickly build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am industrious, flexible, approachable and dedicated to all aspects of my chosen profession. I truly love teaching.
